A finely detailed artwork featuring the legendary engine of the BMW E30 M3, one of the most celebrated performance engines of the 1980s and a cornerstone of BMW Motorsport's success.

At the heart of the E30 M3 was BMW's remarkable S14 engine – a naturally aspirated 2.3-litre four-cylinder, twin overhead camshaft, 16-valve unit developed specifically for homologation in international touring car racing. Drawing on technology from BMW's renowned six-cylinder M88 engine, the S14 combined high-revving performance with exceptional durability and razor-sharp throttle response, making it one of the defining performance engines of its era.

The E30 M3 was created to compete in Group A touring car racing and went on to become the most successful touring car of all time, claiming victories in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM), European Touring Car Championship, British Touring Car Championship, World Touring Car Championship and countless national series around the world. Its engine played a central role in that success, earning a reputation for precision engineering and race-winning reliability.

This artwork focuses on the intricate engineering of the S14, capturing the beautifully designed cylinder head, induction system, exhaust manifold and ancillary components that have made it one of the most admired engines ever produced by BMW Motorsport.
